Who is the course for?
This eLearning course is aimed at individuals working in the UK oil and gas industry who are required to carry out work with or near chemicals and hazardous substances.
Is previous experience required?
You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

This course is written based on the following pieces of UK legislation:
- The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- EH40/2005 Workplace exposure limits
- The European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (the CLP Regulation)
Is there an assessment?
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
